Product Description

The Wechsel Intrepid 5 is a five-person tunnel tent designed for lightweight camping and backpacking. Its shape offers a straightforward layout that balances interior space with wind resistance, making it a solid choice for group trips where weight and pack size matter.

The tent uses a PU-coated ripstop polyester outer layer and a breathable polyester inner tent, helping keep out light rain while allowing moisture to escape. The aluminium 7001 T6 pole structure keeps the overall weight down without sacrificing stability, and the generous floor area lets five people sleep side by side. When packed down to its 62 × 28 cm stuff sack, it slips easily into a rucksack alongside your other gear.

Denier ratings (68D for the fly, 70D for the inner, 75D for the groundsheet) refer to the thickness of the yarn used in the fabric: higher numbers generally mean greater durability and tear resistance. The 7001 T6 aluminium alloy is prized for its strength-to-weight ratio, so you get sturdy poles without extra bulk.
