Footprints & ground sheets

It is a good idea to protect the outerside of your tent's groundsheet with an extra groundsheet or footprint. This is good for the lifetime of the tent and provides extra protection against moisture. The groundsheets are sorted by length, but width also plays a role. A ground sheet should not protrude, otherwise it will catch rain and cause water under your tent. The category of the footprints are groundsheets that belong to a specific tent and fit perfectly under it. A standard ground sheet needs to be trimmed or folded back if it extends from under the tent.
