The Big Agnes Blacktail 2 is a 2-person lightweight tent from the Blacktail series. The Blacktail 2 is a solid value-for-money as you would like to see them more often. The material of the outer tent is a standard polyester with a PU coating, solid and reliable. Of course, lighter materials exist, but this choice delivers great value for money.

The design of the Blacktail 2 is well thought-out. The outer tent is not cut too high so that the outer tent reaches close to the ground. Combined with a solid height of the closed part of the inner tent, this makes the Blacktail 2 a great tent for 3 seasons. The higher placed mesh in the inner tent does provide super ventilation in warm conditions, especially in combination with the 2 high placed ventilation vents in the outer tent. Condensation will be almost non-existent. With a 132cm wide sleeping tent and 76cm of awning space on either side, the Blacktail 2 offers a reasonably spacious tent for two. The length of the inner tent is nice and long at 229cm, so tall adventurers have no limitations either. And all that for a weight of barely 2 kg. The Blacktail 2 is a serious lightweight that keeps the lighter competition on their toes!
