Trekking & backpacking

When trekking or backpacking, you go on holiday and take everything you need with you in your backpack. You carry the entire equipment on your back, so weight and pack size play an important role in choosing your equipment. For the sake of clarity, we make a distinction between trekking and backpacking. With trekkings the walking is the main purpose of your trip and you take full equipment including tent and cooking gear. With backpacking, hiking is not your main goal, but you take everything you need at your destination in a backpack, like with a backpacking holiday to Thailand or Australia.
