Tents for cycling

What kind of tent do you take with you on your bike?  A bicycle tent is a lightweight tent that is not too big or too heavy with a reliable aluminium pole so that you can set it up again and again without any problems. The decision for a bicycle tent is a choice between comfort and weight. Consider, for example, whether you can use extra awning space to dry your wet cycling clothes or to cook in. If you cycle short distances every day on a normal bicycle, a tent may weigh more than 3 kilos. But if you are bikepacking, a tent as light and small as possible is what you need. A standard lightweight tent has an outer fabric of about 75D (D = denier and stands for thickness of the outer fabric) of polyester.
